How do I apply for the NZeTA?
There are several ways to apply for a New Zealand travel permit. You can choose between the New Zealand authorities' online services and online visa application sites.
Apply on the authorities' website
To make an online application on the authorities' website, you first need to know that the New Zealand government has set up several online application platforms. To apply, you need to go through the following three steps:
- filling in the form ;
- payment by credit card ;
- receipt of your NZETA.
You will need these documents and information to complete the form and pay the application fee. These are :
- a valid passport ;
- a digital passport photo with a white background ;
- a passport photo
- an electronic means of payment;
- a valid e-mail address (this will be used when you receive your NZETA);
- a reason for travelling ;
- a home address ;
- means of subsistence ;
- possession of a return or onward ticket, where applicable.
In addition, there is another way to apply for NzETA. This is the mobile application set up by the New Zealand government. You simply need to fill in a few details relating to an e-visa application. The advantage is that via the app, processing fees are more affordable. Beware, however, of the many errors specific to scanning your passport!
